  • Expensive

Best for: Those who want the best audio and build quality at any cost.

There’s no beating around the bush – the Bang and Olufsen Beoplay H7 is an expensive pair of headphones, costing upwards of 70k rupees given the current exchange rate.  But, is it worth the money? Well, we listed the H7 because of its performance, durability, sound quality, and comfort. Let’s see how it checks out.

The H7 offers exceptional sound clarity, and its microphone works well (although it isn’t the best mic out there). For the most part, sound delivery is consistent and the bass response is solid. Some tracks might give you a little more bite than you’d like, but otherwise, you’ll have a great time listening to music.

Designed with memory foam cups, pure leather skin, and an aluminum finish, the H7 is built to last. The model comfortably fits around your head without applying too much pressure; it’s sufficient to block out the most unwanted sound.

In general, its battery gets you around 20 hours of dedicated listening. The rechargeable battery is easy to remove, so you can keep a backup battery on hand for extended use.  However, given how hot Pakistan gets, wearing these outside in the summer isn’t a good idea – your ears will heat up quickly. This is a problem you’ll face with most serious headphones, though.

On the whole, the BOB H7 is an exceptional pair of headphones. The price is admittedly steep though, so you need to consider your budget before making a decision.

2) Razer BlackShark v2

A reliable entry-level headphone best suited for gaming.

Specifications

Size: 320 mm x 40 mm
Weight: 330 gm
Approximate Battery Life: Wired Headset
Bluetooth Range: N/A
Accessories:
– Headset
– Quick Start Guide
Special Feature:
– LED Lighting
– Volume Control Buttons

Reasons to buy

  • Inexpensive
  • No lag
  • Foam padding
  • External mic

Reasons to avoid

  • No Bluetooth
  • No noise cancellation

Best for: PC gamers looking for an entry-level gaming headset.

The Kotion Each G9000 offers a careful balance of affordability and performance. Priced at around 4000 rupees, the model offers 3D audio and an external mic, making it a reliable budget headset for gamers.

The audio quality is clear, but the bass is lacking, so we wouldn’t recommend the G9000 if your primary use case is listening to music. As a wired headset, the Kotion Each also guarantees zero lag, making it all the more reliable for in-game correspondence.

The Kotion Each G9000 isn’t designed from premium or durable materials, but that’s to be expected given its competitive price point. The plastic finish won’t guarantee long use, but if you’re careful, you can get a good couple of years out of it.

Moreover, despite the low price tag, Kotion went out of its way to deliver comfort. The foam padding keeps the headset firmly in place without applying too much pressure, so you can wear it for prolonged periods.

3) P47 Wireless Headphones

A budget-level headset with superior audio quality and a mic.

Specifications

Size: 256 x 216 x 66 mm
Weight: 320 gm
Approximate Battery Life: N/A
Bluetooth Range: N/A
Accessories:
– Headset
– Quick Start Guide
Special Feature
– Single Pin

Reasons to buy

  • Good price to performance ratio
  • High audio quality
  • Deep bass

Reasons to avoid

  • No Bluetooth
  • No LED Lighting

Best for: Users looking for affordable earphones with high audio quality.

The A4 Tech HS 30-i is one of the best headphones in this price range, retailing at around 2000 rupees online. It offers exceptional audio quality (with deep bass) that’s comparable to some high-end Bluetooth headphones, which is surprising considering the low price tag.

Additionally, the headphones come with a single pin, so you don’t have to worry about mic failure when connecting to a device. The H3 30 is the single pin version – the plain double-pin HS-30 is slightly cheaper.

Given its exceptional performance and low price tag, it makes sense that A4 Tech cut corners somewhere. They did compromise on comfort; the ear cups aren’t padded, so unless you have small ears, wearing the headset feels uncomfortable after a while.

However, it’s worth mentioning that the lack of padding keeps your ears relatively cool. Given Pakistan’s generally hot climate, padded earphones cause sweating in the heat. A headset like the H3 S0-I is better in this regard.

On the whole, the A4 Tech HS 30-I is a great choice if you’re looking for an affordable, solid listening experience.

4) Yamaha HPH-MT5

A premium, lightweight headphone made specifically for listening to heavy bass songs.

Specifications

Size: 242.57 x 197 x 83 mm

190 gm

10 m
Accessories:
– Headset
– Booklet
– USB to Micro USB cable
Special Feature:
– Enhanced Bass

Reasons to buy

  • Stylish
  • Premium quality
  • Long-lasting battery
  • Decent price

Reasons to avoid

  •     Not optimized for gaming

Best for: Bass lovers looking for a long-term pair of headphones

The MDR-XB650BT is one of Sony’s mid-range headsets, retailing at around 14,000 rupees in Pakistan.  The headphones were specifically manufactured for deep bass usage; the bass is exceptionally powerful but it doesn’t bleed, so vocals and instruments still retain their clarity.

Sony clearly targeted bass lovers with this model, because you won’t get realistic sound balance. The extra bass takes over in a mix, delivering an intense listening experience. At high volumes, the MDR-XB650BT’s high frequency presence kicks in, preventing bass-induced distortion and delivering clear audio.

Because of the enhanced bass, the Sony headset doesn’t fare well for other use cases. The headphones aren’t ideal for gaming or listening to movies; the sound is deepened by design and the unbalanced audio gets distracting.

The MDR-XB650BT’s battery timing is one of the best in its price range, outclassing competitors. Sony claims that it lasts around 30 hours, which holds up, but after a year or so, the battery life decreases by around 6-8 hours.
Even with the reduction, though, you’re still guaranteed prolonged usage.

In a nutshell, the Sony MDR-XB650BT are the best bass headphones in Pakistan for under 15,000 rupees. It’s a great choice for bass lovers, but the headset isn’t ideal for other use cases.

5) FANTECH HG23 OCTANE 7.1

An inexpensive pair of entry-level Bluetooth headphones that are designed for listening to music.

Specifications

Size: 380 X 305 X 1138mm
Weight: 150 gm
Approximate Battery Life: 5 hours

Accessories
:
– Headset
– USB to Micro USB cable
– User Guide

Reasons to buy

  •    Affordable
  •     Bluetooth
  •     Decent build-quality
  •     Lightweight

Reasons to avoid

  • Uncomfortable (after prolonged use)
  • Low play time

Best for: Those who want an entry-level Bluetooth headset.

The Audionic Blue Beats B-777 are an affordable, durable pair of Bluetooth headphones that deliver consistently clear sound even at higher volumes.  It sports a lightweight build which Audionic achieved by cutting down the battery’s size. So while the Bluetooth headset won’t weigh your ears down, a single charge only lasts for around five hours.

The B-777’s build quality is exceptional, and is comparable to some high-end models in the market. The ear cups aren’t particularly comfortable though – they clamp onto your ears, so you might feel discomfited after wearing them for a while.

The model comes with a 40mm, which delivers better mids and trebles than a larger driver. This makes it a good choice for listening to music, audio books, podcasts, and recordings. However, if you’re more of a bass-lover, you’re better off with a headset with a 50mm driver that delivers better bass response.

On the whole, the Audionic Blue Beats B-777 are affordable, durable, reliable, and lightweight, making them one of the best budget earphones in Pakistan.

Best for: Those who want a mid-range Bluetooth headset with deep bass.

The BoAt Rockerz 510 is a well-rounded headset with high quality audio delivery, comfortable ear cups, and good bass and treble.

The 510’s audio quality  is comparable to Sony’s and Beat’s flagship headphones. The high-quality audio is courtesy of the driver size (10 mm larger than the standard size). This headphone hits the sweet spot for the perfect combination of bass and treble. The bass is deep enough to enjoy songs, but there’s no bass bleeding so it won’t distort sound and ruin your gaming experience.

The 510’s foam padding is comfortable and fits snugly against your ears, making it an ideal headset for prolonged use. You can wear it for hours without feeling uncomfortable. The BoAt Roackerz 510 is a good choice if battery life and comfort are your priority, and the model performs well for different use cases.

The Logitech G430 is a mid-level headset ideal for gaming, listening to music, and making calls. Its built-in noise-cancelling microphone reduces ambient noise so your voice is clear over calls, and when you’re not using the mic, you can fold it up to keep it away from your mouth.

The G430’s ear cups are designed with special rectangular-shaped ear cups, instead of the usual round or oval variants. Despite the abnormal design, this headset is exceptionally comfortable, even more so than many round-shaped alternatives.

Logitech also gave the ear cups another Easter egg – they’re interchangeable. You can easily swap the ear cup’s inner foam, or rotate them till they fit best.

The 7.1 surround sound delivers a theatre-like listening experience, making the Logitech G430 an ideal choice for listening to music. Additionally, the model’s comfortable, lag-free wired connection and noise-cancelling microphone makes the headset a popular choice for gamers.

In a nutshell, the Logitech G430 is a great multi-purpose wired headphones that’s great value for money, making it the best wired headphones in Pakistan.

The Asus Rog Strix Go USB-C are a premium pair of headphones designed to optimize your gaming experience. The headset’s detachable boom microphone with noise-calling features is ideal for in-game communication, and the ear cups are designed with air tight chambers that make them particularly comfortable.

The headset isn’t heavy, but it’s not particularly light either. The mid-weight build and comfortable ear cups means you can have long gaming sessions with the Rog Strix Go without feeling discomfited.

Unlike other headphones which use 35-mm drivers, the Rog Strix Go sports a 40-mm driver that deliver superior audio quality, making up for the lack of 7.1 surround sound features.

Additionally, the headset comes with a special adapter so you can connect to different devices. The headphones also support the PS5.

The Asus Rog Strix Go USB-C performs well across the board and is a solid headset for gaming enthusiasts. The price tag is a little steep – it retails at around 24k rupees, but its impressive performance justifies the cost.

Reasons to avoid

  • Heavy
  • No Bluetooth

Best for: Buyers on a budget

The Onikuma K20 RGB 7.1 packs many features including an impressive 7.1 surround system. We picked it because it offers the best performance for headsets in its price range; but the wire might start wearing out after 8-month mark if you aren’t careful.

The Onikuma K20’s 7.1 surround sound feature and 50mm driver collectively deliver a solid listening experience, whether you’re listening to music or taking a call. Additionally, the rectangular-shaped ear cups are quite comfortable, especially relative to other headsets in this price range.

The Onikuma’s noise-cancellation is the best in its price range, and outclasses many more expensive models when it comes to blocking out ambient noise. It’s noise-cancellation features make it ideal both for blocking out external sound and improving your voice delivery through the mic, making it a great headset for gaming.

The RGB 7.1 is designed with plastic that isn’t particularly durable, however, the headset is quite heavy. It’s around 400 grams, so the headphones can weigh you down after wearing them for a while.

In short, the Onikuma K20 RGB 7.1 isn’t going to win any awards, but for i provide a variety of different features at a low price at the cost of poor build quality and life span.

How You Can Choose the Perfect Headphone for You

When you’re browsing different headphones to pick the best one, it’s important to prioritize your individual needs. Depending on your budget, you might have to compromise, but you can choose where to make trade-offs.

Here are 6 crucial considerations to keep in mind:

Budget

Your budget is the most importance consideration for buying a headset. If you’re looking for affordable options, you’ll need to prioritize some features over others.

However, if have cash to spare, you can get yourself a premium set of headphones that performs well across the board.

Comfort

If you plan on using your headphones for prolonged periods, make sure that the ear cups are comfortable. Using any headphones for around half an hour won’t hurt, but  headsets without proper padding become uncomfortable after a while.

Usage

Headphones are used for listening to music, making calls, gaming, and blocking out noise. You should prioritize features that align with your usage needs.

For example, if you’re a bass lover, look for a headset with deep bass and good response, like the Sony MDR-XB650BT.

You’re better off with a wired pair of headphones if gaming is your priority, because wireless headsets are prone to lag. If you’re on the move constantly, go for wireless.

Wired or wireless?

Wired headphones aren’t prone to lag, which can be a problem for wireless headsets if their Bluetooth signal is disrupted. Higher-end wireless headsets are generally less prone to lag, though.

Additionally, with a wired headset, you’re at the mercy of the wire – if it wears out or becomes damaged, it’ll affect your listening experience.

Sound Quality

This boils down to the combination of bass and treble and your use case. A headset with bass that distorts audio isn’t ideal for gaming, but it’s great for listening to music.

Battery Life

Lighter headphones generally have shorter battery lives because of their limited space. In contrast, heavier headsets offer superior battery life. You can also find headphones that carefully balance weight and battery life, like the Bang and Olufsen Beoplay H7.

So, which features are most important to you? Oh, and if you’ve used a great headset that isn’t on our list, let us know and we’ll check it out!
